The family and me (I have the dark hair) in London (where it is also foggy) in August 2010
Welcome to Kashkawan!
"Kashkawan" means "it is foggy" in Algonquin. It's also a fictional village in the Hudson Highlands; most of my stories are set at least partially in Kashkawan.
(Kashkawan is also a kind of cheese. Mmmm, cheese....)
On a clear day, you may be able to see forever, but when it's foggy? That's when the really interesting things become visible.
My name is Luisa Perkins. I write speculative fiction, specifically contemporary dark-ish fantasy. I've been married for 22 years to Patrick, an absolute prince of a man. Until recently, we lived with our six lovely children and an insane cat in a tiny town on the east bank of the Hudson River. We moved to another small town near Pasadena, California in the summer of 2012.
My passions include reading, gardening, knitting, cooking, eating, and musicking.
