My Heart's Quiet Home

Grandma Ybright, Mom, and me, Christmas 1989

Today I honor all my mother has given me:

My love of music, art, literature, and precision;
My anglo- and francophilia;
My voice and sense of humor;
My interests in handcrafts and cooking; and
Hours and days and years of care and nurturing.

I love you, Mom.  Happy Mother's Day!

Nice offering to your mom. The older I get the more I appreciate all of my mom-given traits. We are both lucky ladies, huh? :)

Thank you, my darling girl! I woke up this morning missing my mom something fierce. Saw your post and had a good blubber. How lucky we were to have had her for as long as we did, and what an amazing woman she was. Love you. Miss you. XO

Love the photo! I inherited the exact same gifts from my mother. Not kidding. Every single one. (Except my mom didn't love to cook. She let me take over the kitchen while she was teaching piano, and that's how I learned to love preparing great food.)

Awesome tribute. I started writing about my mom yesterday and kind-of surprised myself. But she'll never get it in the form of a blog post because she thinks blogs are evil! :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Somehow I have been missing your posts! Meanwhile, I have been missing you! Was it a whole year ago you were starting to plan your trip to France? Wow!
